Crestron Electronics, Inc. has an opportunity for an experienced Senior PCBA Process Engineer to join a dynamic team to support our PC board assembly operation in Orangeburg, NY. This role requires an in-depth understanding of electronic circuit board assembly and design for manufacturing analysis. The candidate will utilize CAD tools to analyze new board designs and collaborate with the development teams to verify design guidelines are met to ensure ease of manufacturing, reliability, and high yields.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support to the PC board production operation.Create and maintain process documents related to PCB assembly processes and equipment.Manage engineering design updates and communicate changes through proper documentation.Perform IPC-A-610 based Valor DFM analysis on new circuit board designs, and document feedback to the design team.Utilize CAD-based tools to analyze design or component issues to eliminate PCB assembly problems.Develop and maintain assembly aids and production fixtures using 3D/2D CAD itialize engineering change requests to improve product assembly, quality, and cost.Programming of specialized process equipment to support PCB production.Engage with the production teams to identify and eliminate process bottlenecks.Work closely with QC to identify and resolve materials and vendor-related issues.Participate in analyzing performance metrics to help improve process yields and prevent downtime.Work with equipment manufacturers to identify and select new equipment and methods.Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives and practices.Utilize MS Power Platform to automate business processes and improve manufacturing efficiencies.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsBS in Mechanical Engineering or other closely related field.8+ years of experience in the electronics industry with a focus on circuit board DFM and assembly.Experience utilizing 3D CAD systems (Creo, SolidWorks, or other) to design functional parts and create technical drawings.Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 industry standards for electronic assemblies.Experience using Valor DFM application or suitable alternatives.Experience using Microsoft Power Platform to automate business processes and analyze data.Experience with Lean Six Sigma practices.Knowledge of Microsoft Office.Proven problem solver with technical decision-making skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and adapt in a challenging environment.Ability to work independently without continuous supervision.Mechanically inclined with a drive for process improvement.Crestron Electronics offers a competitive total compensation package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, 401K with company match, Paid Time Off, Holidays, On-site Amenities at NJ Headquarters & TX Facilities, Crestron Market Cafes, and Fitness Centers.EOE/M/F/D/V #J-18808-Ljbffr
