Anduril brings cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.ABOUT THE TEAMAnduril’s Manufacturing team is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The Manufacturing Team is responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge defense hardware, including static equipment, moving ground equipment, and flight vehicles. This includes the manufacturing value chain: design for manufacturability work, tool design and selection, process creation and optimization, vendor sourcing and interaction, quality planning, and work documentation associated with the hardware the Manufacturing Engineer owns.The right candidate demonstrates holistic ownership of solving a technical challenge with a creative, physical solution that they personally manufactured or oversaw in a fast-paced, resource-limited environment.WHAT YOU'LL DOScale electromechanical manufacturing processes to support high-volume production, ensuring consistent quality and reliability in mass-produced hardware systemsDevelop and refine manufacturing strategies for high-volume electromechanical products, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and maintaining stringent quality standards at scaleWork with technicians and other engineers hands-on, building prototype hardware with emphasis on assembly and testing of electromechanical componentsContribute to end-customer hardware mechanical or electrical design, including interconnects, board fabrication and inspection, ensuring electromechanical compatibility and performanceOwn a portion or all of the manufacturing value chain for a product or set of productsDevelop novel tooling solutions for fabrication and assembly of structural partsDevelop process flows by breaking down large, complex assemblies into logical subassemblies and sub-processesWrite documentation required for manufacturing hardware at scale, such as work instructions, quality plans, inspection requirementsCollaborate with contract manufacturers across PCBA fabrication, metallic manufacturing, and assembly to develop repeatable processes for quick-turn development and at-scale productionTravel to suppliers to perform initial sourcing, resolve ongoing production issues, and implement quality proceduresREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSDegree in a technical field preferred such as engineering, math, or a hard science5+ years of experience in manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardwareDemonstrated ability to creatively deliver electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environmentDemonstrated leadership skills with backing examplesPersonal experience physically manufacturing hardware via machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly, etc. Work on personal or extracurricular projects is a plusA genuine interest in manufacturing and a thirst for learningMust be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilitiesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSHands-on experience with R/C and/or autonomous flight vehicles, flight controllers, or related control systemsSoftware scripting experience in any languageUS Salary Range$125,000 - $186,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
