Heartland Human Care Services is seeking an Associate Director of Policy and Training to lead the development, implementation, and oversight of policies and training that ensure our SAFEty programs meet the highest standards. Reporting to the Managing Director of Compliance, Policy, and Training, you’ll play a key role in aligning programs with organizational, licensing, funder, and accreditation requirements.If you’re ready to combine policy expertise with a passion for teaching and leadership and want your work to directly strengthen programs serving vulnerable youth, we’d love to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesOversee the training framework, from updating existing curricula to creating new content and delivering it through hybrid learning models.Lead a team of trainers who provide compliance-focused instruction as well as child welfare best practices.Ensure staff have the tools and professional development needed to thrive; supervise, coach, and develop the Training Specialists at SAFEty.Train and oversee the training of SAFEty staff in various subjects required by program administration, funders, licensing and accrediting agencies.Policy ManagementProvide leadership in the development of department and program policies and procedures.Maintain and update SAFEty Initiatives Policy Manuals.Conduct and analyze policy implementation with programs and develop/update annual policy updates per funder guidelines.Quality AssuranceAssist program managers and directors in staff development and monitor implementation of quality improvement plans.Create a positive and professional work environment; participate in quality management committees.Collaborate with directors on interviewing, hiring, training, planning, directing work, and performance management to ensure consistency of policy and practice.Provide research and written analysis of issues; develop quantitative and qualitative research to enhance knowledge of populations served.Stay current on developments in relevant populations through study and attendance at relevant events; provide updates to supervising executive on service issues and opportunities.Collaborate with other functional areas to maintain service integration and quality.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesOversees the team of training and policy specialists.Education And ExperienceBachelor's degree in training and development or a social services field required; Master’s Degree preferred.Minimum of five (5) years of experience conducting training/presentations for groups of various sizes.Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience.Bilingual strongly preferred.Certifications/LicensesA valid driving license.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (K/S/A)Project planning, coordination, and budget management; ability to manage multiple projects and teams.Problem solving, data interpretation, and ability to work with diverse instructions and variables.Strong communication, writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with diverse teams.Ability to travel to SAFEty sites; access to reliable vehicle; willingness to work non-traditional hours.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Learning Management Systems, and related software.Work ArrangementThis role is on-site. All hours are worked in person.
