Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay range$180,000.00/yr - $215,000.00/yrOverviewThe Senior Analyst, Intellectual Property & Technology is an integral part of Latham’s Legal Professional and Paralegal team. This role will be responsible for utilizing field-specific training and expertise to support the litigation team in intellectual property cases, particularly patent litigation, while leveraging subject matter expertise to analyze technical issues related to intellectual property litigation, specifically, software, electronics, and semiconductor technologies. This role will be located in either our New York, Boston, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Century City, Silicon Valley, or San Francisco office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. Responsibilities & QualificationsConsulting and collaborating with technical experts to analyze hardware and software technologies and patentsDrafting and reviewing technical reports and analyses in support of litigationDistilling complex scientific concepts and explaining them in terms understandable to non-scientistsAssisting with the preparation of technical witnesses for their deposition and trial testimony and developing exhibits for trialReviewing and analyzing patents in complex technical fieldsProtecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retainsWe’d love to hear from you if you:Possess excellent leadership skills (i.e., organizing, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making)Demonstrate well-developed and professional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firmDisplay the ability to work in a team environment with a customer-service focusAnd have:A Ph.D. or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, preferablyA minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experienceA minimum of two (2) years’ post-graduate IP-related experience (e.g., industry position with some involvement in or responsibility for IP strategy), preferablyPatent bar qualification, preferablyBenefits & Additional InformationSuccessful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also be provided with a generous total compensation package with bonuses awarded in recognition of both individual and firm performance.
