The position supports Enabling Technologies platforms, delivering an innovative portfolio that includes advanced imaging, navigation, robotics, customized implants, and pre-operative planning aided by artificial intelligence. A valid driver’s license is essential, as travel within the territory and to multiple accounts is required. Position and Responsibilities Medtronic, the Clinical Consultant II, Enabling Technologies, provides clinical, technical and product knowledge support to existing and potential customers. Builds and maintains solid customer relationships and provides customer training at all levels. Performs duties within the Quality System and BCS requirements. Technical Support Coordinate, support, and collaborate with NRCs and other Enabling Technologies team members for on-site installations with customers. Represent Medtronic during technology-enabled procedures to provide technical assistance. Maintain system hardware and software to maximize performance; install software and hardware upgrades; perform system preventative maintenance. Provide telephone clinical support to customers and use UNIX/Linux commands to modify operating files. Fulfill Software and Service Contract obligations. Customer Support Act as primary Medtronic customer liaison for repair and technical support issues; provide timely information to the district team regarding customer concerns, issues, and market opportunities. Provide service to customers per their individual needs and maintain familiarity with status of calls and issues at customer sites. Report necessary complaints and partner with Clinical Manager/NRC to ensure full resolution; file weekly site visit and customer contact reports for service improvement. Educational Support Educate and train physicians and hospital personnel on technical matters relating to technology-enabled procedures; provide a clinical resource for surgeons and clinical staff. Update customers on tips, shortcuts and suggestions; participate in in-house sponsored customer training at designated sites. Provide training resources for hospital staff to enable them to conduct training for their personnel; continually train Enabling Technologies Clinical Support team. Sales Support Collaborate with NRCs, Spinal Sales, and NeuroSurgery Reps to identify prospective new users for Navigation and Robotics. Attend and participate in sales meetings, trainings, conventions, and trade shows; submit reports and information as directed. Support more complex, new image-guided products and applications to physicians and hospital staff; prioritize customer technical support and service expectations with Region Manager and Clinical Manager. Provide input on new product development based on in-field experience; manage documentation at new or existing installations. Miscellaneous Adhere to company policies and conduct all business ethically. Qualifications Must Have: Minimum Requirements To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident in your applicant profile. High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years of clinical, medical sales or medical imaging/navigation/robotics experience; or Associate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of clinical, medical sales or medical imaging/navigation/robotics experience; or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of clinical, medical sales or medical imaging/navigation/robotics experience Nice to Have: Preferences RT and/or MRI certification Prior experience with Image Guided Systems Prior experience with MRI Operating room experience Preference given to local qualified candidates and candidates with Medtronic experience Additional Job Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk, hear and reach with hands and arms. Visual requirements apply. A valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance policy are required; driving approximately 50% of the time within the assigned territory with possible overnight travel. Benefits & Compensation Medtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package. The base salary range for U.S. locations is 68,000 – 102,000 USD, with eligibility for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP).
