Junior Counsel

Overview Junior Attorney – In-House Counsel (Houston, TX) for a nationwide commercial real estate services company. This in-house role offers exposure to both litigation and transactional matters with opportunities to grow across multiple legal disciplines in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. Key Responsibilities Litigation: Provide legal advice and counsel related to a nationwide litigation docket. Litigation: Manage outside counsel through all phases of disputes and litigation. Litigation: Support the development of effective legal strategies and cost-control practices. Transactional/Corporate: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts while learning key risk and contractual concepts. Transactional/Corporate: Conduct legal research on litigation, corporate, real estate, and commercial law issues. Transactional/Corporate: Assist in the development of contract templates and legal guidance materials. Transactional/Corporate: Gain a strong understanding of business operations to provide practical, business-focused legal advice. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school. Licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar (or other U.S. state bar). 2–5 years of litigation or transactional experience (law firm or in-house). Excellent multitasking, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.
