Join EY and help to build a better working world.The opportunityAs a Staff in our Global Trade practice, you will use your experience and technical knowledge to bring value to clients and manage risks related to global trade matters. You will be a member of our Global Trade Managed Services team that assists our clients to move their freight both effectively and compliantly around the globe.Your Key ResponsibilitiesExecute Harmonized System (HS) Classification ProjectsDrive Free Trade Agreement (FTA) qualification and solicitation initiativesAudit customs brokers and third-party providers to uphold high trade compliance standardsResearch customs and international trade issues and perform customs compliance work for clientsSkills And Attributes For SuccessTo qualify for this role, you must haveA bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, logistics, international relations or a related trade operations management fieldApproximately 2 or more years of related work experience in industry or a professional services firmOutstanding communication skills, both written and verbalHigh-level proficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteAn analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail and robust critical thinking capabilitiesA collaborative spirit and a dedication to contributing positively to team dynamicsIndustry-specific certifications or licenses are viewed favorablyFortune 500 company or a major importer or exporterExcellent organizational skills, strong motivation, and a positive attitudeProficiency in a technology-enabled environmentWillingness to travel as needed, and working in a balanced hybrid environmentIdeally, you will haveProcess, document, and oversee FTA documentation requests with precision and efficiencyAccurately classify products in accordance with the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)Foster proactive and strategic communication with suppliers, clients, and third-party service providers to ensure the seamless exchange of critical FTA documentation and classification informationPerform meticulous reviews of trade documentation to guarantee adherence to Customs Regulations, creating comprehensive audit trails that articulate the methodology and reasoning for classification outcomesProvide steadfast support for daily FTA and classification inquiries, adeptly navigating and resolving import-related complexitiesDevelop, analyze, and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs), assemble detailed quarterly business review reports, and manage ad hoc data inquiries to drive informed business decisionsProactively identify and advocate for process enhancements and operational efficienciesResearching customs and international trade issuesAdvising clients on customs compliance issues and potential duty savings strategiesA proven understanding of customs compliance regulations and best practicesA Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) certificationWhat We Look ForThis opportunity is tailored for driven individuals who have a passion for global trade and are committed to professional growth within a supportive and innovative environment.
