Overview BroadOak Capital Partners is seeking a highly motivated Senior Analyst or Associate to join our growing investment banking team. This individual will be involved in all facets of BroadOak’s investment banking activities and will play an integral role supporting the origination and execution of merger and acquisition assignments for clients and BroadOak portfolio companies. BroadOak Capital Partners is a merchant banking firm providing M&A advisory services and growth capital to the life sciences industry. Successful candidates will be expected to assume a substantial amount of responsibility and quickly begin participating in client-facing activities. Candidates will not be limited by their title and will be allowed to assume far greater levels of responsibility and advancement as they demonstrate their capabilities. The specific responsibilities of the Sr. Analyst/Associate include, but not limited to: Responsibilities Complex financial modeling and valuation analyses Conduct company and industry research with a strong focus on life sciences sectors Prepare client presentations, marketing materials, and confidential information memoranda (CIMs) Lead due diligence efforts including data room management and coordination with clients and third-party advisors Assist in deal origination by preparing pitch materials and researching prospective clients Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and counterparties Requirements 2-3 years of directly related investment banking or corporate M&A experience required Life science, biotech, or healthcare experience is a plus but not required Bachelor’s degree with outstanding academic achievement preferably in fields of finance, economics, engineering, or related field Strong analytical and modeling skills; proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and CapIQ required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong leadership and team working capabilities Superior work ethic Professional maturity and experience to interact directly with clients and drive execution of transactions Aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative ideas Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a high level of attention to detail Series 63 & 79 licensing preferred (or FINRA recognized equivalents) Currently located or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area US work authorization required #J-18808-Ljbffr
