Overview The opportunity involves sharing your experience in implementing security systems to safeguard our nation. As a systems security and network security engineer, you will identify the security systems needed to assess vulnerabilities and recommend the best solutions and security strategy. You will lead the development and implementation of security solutions to protect infrastructure. You’ll troubleshoot and analyze complex challenges for customers using your knowledge of network and security devices, stay curious about technology and market trends, and research and develop security solutions. You will assess security threats and implement infrastructure controls, with a focus on supporting our client’s infrastructure and mission area. What You’ll Work On Develop relationships quickly and communicate the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management. Implement infrastructure and cyber security controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities and improved event correlation in large enterprises. Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas; leverage analytics to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise. You Have 5+ years of experience in an ISSE, ISSO, or IT role Experience with DoD architecture, strategic planning, concept of operations, performance attributes, system architecture and design, evolving methodologies, and regulatory requirements Experience with programming or scripting, including PowerShell, Ansible, Python, and automation frameworks such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef Top Secret clearance Bachelor’s degree Nice If You Have Experience with automation tools and scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and frameworks such as NIST 800-207 TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required. Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours per week on a regular basis are eligible for benefits. The posted salary range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 annually, and the estimate reflects typical compensation and is one component of Booz Allen’s total package.
