You will define and drive the technical vision, build and lead an elite engineering team, and work across product and business functions to deliver industry-leading AI solutions. This role requires a rare blend of technical mastery, strategic thinking, and high-energy leadership, focusing on both rapid iteration and long-term scalability.What You’ll Be DoingDefine the product and technical vision for the AI-powered workspace.Translate emerging AI research (LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, multi-step agents, vector databases) into practical solutions.Align engineering priorities with product and business objectives, balancing short-term traction with long-term vision.Lead execution and instill a culture of engineering excellence across the team.Write, review, and mentor engineers on code across React, TypeScript, NodeJS, PostgreSQL, and Python.Build rapid prototypes and iterate quickly based on user feedback.Ensure performance, scalability, and robustness as the product grows.Define and enforce best practices in architecture, testing, and DevOps.Own cloud-native infrastructure spanning Kubernetes/EKS, ECS, SQS, VPC networking, Tailscale, and related technologies.Recruit, onboard, and inspire A+ engineering talent.Mentor engineers, fostering curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement.Engage with customers, partners, and investors to articulate the company’s technical edge.Represent the company at industry events and conferences, evangelizing our AI mission and strategy.Main Skills NeededProven engineering/technical expertise across multiple layers of software development.Hands-on experience as VP of Engineering, Head of Engineering, or Lead Engineer/Manager.Leadership of small, high-performing engineering teams (1–5 engineers preferred).Executive-level communication skills and ability to influence strategy across business functions.Energetic, outcomes-driven, and capable of setting standards and driving team fortable in collaborative, creative environments with intuitive decision-making.Technical stack expertise:Frontend: React, TypeScriptAI/ML: LLMs, RAG systems, agentic AI, vector databasesDevOps & CI/CD: Architecture, testing, and best practicesWhat’s in It for YouBe a founding executive shaping the future of AI in life sciences and biopharma.Build and lead an elite, high-impact engineering team.Work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI research and real-world product impact.Enjoy a highly collaborative, energetic, and social culture.Opportunity to leave a lasting mark on a fast-growing, mission-driven company.Think it could be a fit?
