Firewall Security Engineer

Experienced Firewall administrator for operational implementation, maintenance and configuration of firewalls.Key Responsibilities:Performs maintenance and changes in firewalls as required.Implementation of new firewalls as requiredAssists with troubleshooting network connectivity as it relates to firewallsUtilizes change management, request, and ticketing systems, documents status updates and problem resolutionsComplete All assignments in a timely manner with an acceptable level of qualityMaintains documentation related to work areaCompletes network change requestsFollows documented processes, procedures and policiesPerforms customer service duties and responds to customer and project requests as defined by managementOther related duties assigned as needed.Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor's degree and with 3 to 4 years of operational experience administering Firewalls4 or more years networking/firewall backgroundMust have networking TCP/IP routing protocol experienceDesired Characteristics:In-depth experience in security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications and network protocols is desiredCompetency in verbal, written, and presentation communications and interpersonal understandingAbility to understand customer's business needs.Leadership of work teams/groupsAbility to work with all levels of employeesHighly motivated and able to work effectively under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environmentTeam-oriented, placing priority on quality and the successful completion of team goalsOrganization and planning skills that include: time management, project coordination and management, and the ability to handle multiple deadlines and associated petency in developing effective solutions to business problemsAbility to analyze problems and to make decisionsREQUIRED SKILLSYEARS OF EXPERIENCEWHEN THE SKILL WAS LAST USEDExpert knowledge of Cisco Security products, ASA and FirepowerExpert knowledge of NSXExpert knowledge of Palo Alto systemsSecurity Certifications a PlusMust have networking TCP/IP routing protocol experienceNetworking/firewall backgroundOperational experience administering FirewallsAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
