OverviewSenior Director of Software Engineering - Mobile at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking, Digital Channels team. Lead a technical area, promote impact across teams, technologies, and projects within various departments. Oversee and propel multiple complex projects and initiatives, serving as the primary decision maker for your teams and fostering innovation to ensure successful delivery of solutions.ResponsibilitiesLead technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives.Advise and lead the strategy and development of multiple products, applications, and technologies across a portfolio of Mobile applications.Own platformization efforts, ensuring consistency and scalability across mobile platforms.Manage and develop a team of technologists, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.Actively engage in hands-on coding, setting a technical example for the team, particularly in the iOS or Android mobile space.Make decisions that influence teams’ resources, budgets, tactical operations, and the execution of processes and procedures.Cary governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations.Make decisions around architectural guard rails to ensure robust and scalable solutions.Translate highly complex technical issues, trends, and approaches to leadership to drive the firm’s innovation and enable leaders to make strategic, well-informed technology decisions.Deliver technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains.Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And SkillsFormal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience; 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate, and solve complex technical items within your domain and across the organization.Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability for commercially used digital platforms.Expert in either iOS or Android mobile space, with strong hands-on coding experience.Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologists.Demonstrated ability to influence across functions and deliver value at scale.Experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex technology problems across various technical disciplines.Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And SkillsExperience working at code level.Experience building pipelines and release mechanisms for mobile platforms.About UsChase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America’s households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
