Job Summary The Solutions Architect is responsible for providing pre-sales support and guidance to Q-SYS customers and the Business Development Managers who manage end customer relationships. The Solutions Architect designs solutions within the Q-SYS ecosystem, resolves technical pre-sales inquiries, and provides training to top Q-SYS adopters. They will develop in-depth knowledge of the technical preferences, use cases, and pipeline of key end customers and assist internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful AV experiences are consistently delivered. Responsibilities Analyze functional requirements and use cases of key clients and propose Q-SYS software solutions that meet their goals. Proposals may include design narratives, signal flow drawings, and detailed programming and commissioning scopes of work. Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and on-site proof of concept implementation and optimization. Provide technical training and deliver existing Q-SYS curriculum and develop custom training materials for specific verticals and projects. Communicate with multiple Q-SYS internal functions (Dealer Channel Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Technical Services, Professional Services, Quality Assurance) regarding product issues or emerging customer needs. Represent Q-SYS at regional and national trade shows. Qualifications BA/BS in Communications, Computer Science, or related field preferred. Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in commercial AV installation/integration project management, programming services, or AV manufacturer application engineering/technical training. Experience with video teleconferencing, control, and audio-video distribution systems, particularly related to Q-SYS hardware and software. Experience improving technology interactions for end-user customers based on analysis of customer needs and vetted use cases. Experience with DHCP, IPsec, VLAN, layer 3 routing, TCP, UDP, multicast management. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and CRM software (Salesforce a plus). Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to maintain calm under pressure. Ability to understand, consult, and troubleshoot AV networking; passion for user experience. Preferred Skills and Experience Enterprise AV management experience is a plus. Experience with performance audio tuning and gain staging desirable. Industry certifications including AVIXA, Q-SYS, PMI, Cisco, CompTIA, and AQAV appreciated. Other Travel up to 40%. QSC is owned by Acuity Inc., which is located in the United States.
