DescriptionNorthrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal/ Sr Principal Financial Analyst to support the division financial planning/reporting manager in the Weapons Systems Division. This position reports to the Division Financial Planning Manager and serves as a key analyst for the division. The preferred location is McLean, Virginia (other key Defense System sites may be considered).ResponsibilitiesFinancial planning, reporting, and analysisAnnual Operating Plan (AOP) dutiesEnsure Revenue Recognition (C-901) population completeness and perform division reviewsElement of Cost and Headcount forecastingReview intercompany and subk suspense for monthly reportingSOX activitiesMentoring and training interns and college hiresOther ad hoc assignments as requiredStrong Excel skillsThe candidate should be well organized, schedule-driven, and able to multi-task while meeting tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills are required, including frequent interaction with senior Division, Sector, and BU/OU finance leadership teams and other support staff functions. We are looking for a highly motivated team player to join our dynamic, fast-paced financial planning and reporting organization.Basic QualificationsPrincipal Financial Analyst:Must have a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 9 years of direct experience preparing financial data and performing analysis.Will also consider:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field with 5 years of professional experienceMaster’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field with 3 years of related professional experienceProficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skillsMust be able to work onsiteSr Principal Financial Analyst:Must have a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 12 years of direct experience preparing financial data and performing analysis.Will also consider:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field with 8 years of professional experienceMaster’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field with 6 years of related professional experienceProficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skillsMust be able to work onsitePreferred QualificationsExperience preparing and presenting complex financial analysis to varying levels of managementExperience with Hyperion Planning, HFM, Access databases, and intermediate/advanced Excel skillsExperience with variance reporting using the following reporting tools (or similar): SAP, Business Warehouse (BW), and Cognos/PrecisionSalaryPrimary Level Salary Range: $78,700.00 - $136,800.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,100.00 - $170,300.00The above salary ranges are general guidelines. Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience, education, skills, and current market conditions when determining base salary offers. Depending on the position, overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply.
