2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsBase pay range$145,180.00/yr - $195,200.00/yrThe United States Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC) Battle Management Command and Control (BCF) at Los Angeles Air Force Base, California is searching for a Program Executive Officer (PEO) Chief Financial Officer (NH-0501-04, GS 14/15 equivalent). Description: Are you interested in supporting one of the most exciting and high priority mission areas in the United States Space Force? Come join our team on Space Systems Command! This is a dynamic work environment where programs are evolving to respond to adversary threats to emerging space. As the Battle Management, Command, Control, Communications & Intel PEO’s Chief Financial Officer, you will provide the PEO strategic budgetary advisement across all appropriations as well as ensuring the achievable execution plans are identified and met. You will work with acquisition and mission delta financial leads as well as represent the PEO on the SSC Financial Management Strategic Council. As the PEO CFO, you will provide essential analytical support to a variety of Space Force Leaders across a portfolio of national interest, including classified programs. Lead collaborations with the SYD and Mission Deltas Financial Leads, to provide program managers with critical analysis, data and products required to assess the health of not only the current programs, but also future financial investments, technologies and programs of the future! A proven financial management leader with over 10 years of experience is sought to guide our financial strategies. The ideal candidate possesses direct PPBE leadership experience, preferably within the context of building space and ground systems, with experience in software intensive programs considered a plus. Cost estimating experience is also highly desirable. Experience as a Budget Chief or Cost Chief is preferred. This role demands strong leadership skills, including the ability to lead teams and take calculated risks. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, capable of bringing innovative solutions to a dynamic enterprise. An ability to challenge the status quo and push financial management paradigms is essential, as is effective communication across all levels, from senior leadership within SSC to various Pentagon-based and DoD organizations. A collaborative approach is crucial, with the ability to work effectively with both local and geographically separated teams.Key Skills and Abilities:In-depth knowledge of Congress and Public -depth knowledge of program planning, budget and financial management cycles and policies.Ability to gather, analyze, and present complex facts and develop programming and budgetary strategies.Ability to identify problems, develop and implement innovative detailed strategies to resolve a wide range of programming, budgetary, financial and management issues.Ability to negotiate resolution of complex budget and financial execution issues.Ability to interpret and apply fiscal policy and financial rules, regulations, and procedures.Ability to execute complex projects and/or studies within established time constraints.Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.Ability to establish and maintain relationships with key individuals/groups within and outside immediate work unit including field-level representatives.Ability to advise senior leaders, Program Element Monitors and field-level representatives.Requirements:Must be a U.S. Citizen.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment.May be required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.Employee must within 30-days of assuming this position and annually thereafter, file an OGE-450, “Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.” Employee is required to attend annual ethics and procurement integrity training.This is a Financial Management Level (1, 2, or 3) Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d. Incumbent shall comply with the requirements of this certification program.This is designated a Critical Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP).Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”.Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 15 days per year.PCS is authorized.
