Position OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of a tax preparation firm in Valencia, California. This is an onsite position (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM) with a focus on supervising staff, ensuring compliance, maintaining client satisfaction, and driving the firm’s growth strategy. The ideal candidate is not just a manager, but a leader who can optimize workflows, mentor team members, and support future acquisitions and expansion.PayBase pay range: $120,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yrKey ResponsibilitiesLead the daily operations of the tax preparation firm, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across all services.Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.Manage client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor for tax planning and compliance matters.Supervise, train, and mentor preparers and support staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.Implement and improve processes to increase operational efficiency and scalability.Ensure timely compliance with all tax filing deadlines and reporting requirements.Handle escalated client matters and provide technical guidance on complex tax issues.Monitor changes in tax laws and communicate implications to clients and staff.Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives, including acquisitions, growth, and expansion of services.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or JD preferred).CPA or EA designation strongly preferred.5–7 years of progressive tax experience, including supervisory or management roles in a tax preparation environment.Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.Proven leadership and team management skills.Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication abilities.Experience managing a high-volume tax preparation workflow is highly desirable.Salary Range: $120,000 – $150,000 annually (commensurate with experience).Comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage, retirement options, and professional development opportunities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
