OverviewChief Financial Officer (CFO)The CFO, under the direction of the Kewadin Casinos Gaming Authority, is responsible for all financial and fiscal management of the Gaming Authority and Casino operations. This role provides leadership, direction, and analysis in accounting, budgeting, business planning, and administration. The CFO oversees Accounting, Cage, and Count Team departments across five casino properties while ensuring professional, courteous service to both internal and external customers.ResponsibilitiesPartner with the CEO to set strategic direction and advise the Gaming Authority on financial status.Lead strategic planning, budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis.Manage capital structure, banking relationships, and vendor/business partnerships.Oversee compliance with Title 31, BSA, Patriot Act, MICS, IRS, MGCB, and Tribal standards.Ensure GAAP, GASB, and AICPA standards in financial systems and records.Supervise preparation of audits, reports, and insurance coverage.Direct departmental operations, cash flow management, and expenditure authorization.Develop budgets, monitor performance, and implement cost controls and process improvements.Supervise Accounting, Cage, and Count Team staff in compliance with organizational policies.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related); Master’s preferred.Experience: 8+ years in gaming finance as CFO or Controller, with hotel, F&B, retail, and entertainment operations.Certification: CPA or CMA preferred. Must pass NIGC background check and qualify for MGCB license.Skills: Strong knowledge of gaming regulations, GAAP, MICS, and related systems. Advanced financial, analytical, organizational, and conflict resolution skills. Proficiency with accounting/payroll software, POS, and MS Office required.
