Compensation Base pay range: $250,000.00/yr - $300,000.00/yr Location: Los Angeles, CA (Onsite – Local Candidates Only) Compensation: $250,000 – $300,000 base salary + 50% bonus + equity Overview We are seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a manufacturing company. This is a unique opportunity to lead the financial strategy of a private equity–backed business and play a pivotal role in building the finance function from the ground up. The CFO will partner closely with ownership and the executive team to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence, while positioning the company for a successful future exit. Key Responsibilities Serve as a strategic business partner to ownership and CEO, providing financial leadership and insight to drive long-term value creation. Lead the implementation of an ERP system. Build and scale the accounting team to support a robust accounting infrastructure. Establish and enhance cost accounting models, inventory controls, and manufacturing-related financial processes. Lead FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic planning; serve as the primary FP&A resource. Partner with operations to drive efficiencies, margin improvement, and data-driven decision making across the organization. Ensure compliance with all financial, tax, and regulatory requirements. Support M&A, debt financing, and exit readiness activities. Serve as a key point of contact for the private equity sponsor, board members, and external stakeholders. Qualifications Proven experience as a CFO in a private equity–backed company, with at least one successful exit. Manufacturing industry background is required, with deep knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and plant operations. Strong FP&A expertise, with the ability to build financial models and provide strategic insights without a dedicated FP&A team. Demonstrated success in ERP implementation and systems optimization. Track record of building and leading high-performing finance teams. Exceptional communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally with operations and executive leadership.
