Job DescriptionOur client is seeking our Facilities Engineering Operations Manager to support our partnership at Greenwich Academy, a renowned K-12 independent school in Greenwich, CT. Our leader will have Custodial Operations background and experience with Building Automation Systems and MEP Maintenance. This is a high-visibility leadership role, managing the second shift, typically ~2:00pm-10:00pm Monday through Friday. Our manager will partner with and be second in responsibility to our Facilities Director to deliver best-in-class integrated facilities management (IFM) services while aligning with the Academy’s mission of excellence and care for its students, faculty, and historic campus.Our ideal candidate brings strong Custodial and Maintenance leadership experience, including hands-on technical knowledge, team development skills, and a passion for maintaining beautiful, safe, and high-performing educational environments.What You'll DoLead and mentor our 2nd shift ~2:00pm-10:00pm team of custodial and skilled trades teams to ensure a well-maintained and welcoming campus environmentProvide leadership and direction for the operation when the Director is awayFoster strong relationships with school leadership and faculty by listening closely, communicating proactively, and delivering responsive serviceOversee all aspects of facility operations, including custodial services preventive and predictive maintenanceLeverage your knowledge of Building Automation Systems (Trane) to troubleshoot issues and continuously improve performanceCollaborate with campus stakeholders to support events, seasonal needs, and long-term planning initiativesWhat You BringLeadership for our second shift team, ~2:00pm-10:00PM M-F (typically)A proactive mindset, focused on service excellence, continuous improvementStrong technical acumen with hands-on mechanical systems and BAS maintenanceProven success leading a comprehensive facilities program in a school or similar campus setting, including the second shiftExcellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels, from skilled trades to school leadershipExperience leading high-performing facilities teamsBi-lingual Spanish is a plusPosition SummaryResponsible for a single scope of work in hard services area. 3rd in command, supervises the account as the #2 manager and has full responsibility including supervision of other managers. Responsible for entire account when the Director of Facilities Ops is not present.
