OverviewMartin/Martin, Inc. is looking for a structural Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our Structural Engineering Group in our San Mateo, California office. This engineer will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of project types with many different structural materials. This position will provide opportunities to gain experience in both new building structural design and existing building investigations and retrofits.A typical work week can include engineering calculations, drawing development, Construction Administration tasks, and site visits. This position allows for interactions with owners, architects, and contractors early in your career as you build relationships throughout the project life cycle. Our structural engineers develop customized structural systems to meet design requirements for new facilities and expansions. Our civil teams focus on site and infrastructure design including traffic/transportation, parking, street layout/lighting, water and wastewater utilities, stormwater drainage, circulation, paving, surveying, security issues, and other site considerations. Our investigative engineers can provide support for existing projects, both buildings and sites, to design and implement repairs, renovations, or improvements.
