Tolin is proud of a customer-centric team and centralized corporate services are provided from the corporate headquarters in Denver, CO.General DescriptionTolin Mechanical, an established, well recognized and respected HVAC service contractor, is looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to join our Mid-Atlantic team in Chevy Chase, Maryland. We are seeking a candidate who meets the qualifications listed below.We have a solid team of experienced and respected technicians. Our business continues to grow, and we are looking for another solid technician that is interested in a long-term position and who will fit well into our team.Chief Engineers are focused on service and delivering long-term technical solutions for our clients. They maintain, monitor, and perform preventative maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and more.ResponsibilitiesAssist with or conduct the daily operations and maintenance of the assigned facilities.Supervise maintenance staff and, when applicable, assign and monitor maintenance activities and projects.Perform preventive maintenance duties including changing filters, lubricating motors, replacing lamps, ballasts and fixtures, inspecting and adjusting belts, replacing motor bearings, aligning shafts, and other inspections and maintenance recommended by equipment manufacturers.Recommend improvements to the preventive maintenance program on an ongoing basis.Coordinate project efforts with outside contractors and technicians.Maintain stock and inventory control.Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer ply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency directives, and company safety policies.Ensure management is informed of current building operations by compiling and submitting weekly plete all required Tolin Safety Training as scheduled and 100% of assigned training requirements for your position.Assist in the implementation of the Tolin Policy and Procedures Manual for your facility.Adhere to the Tolin Dress Code, appearance, and uniforms policy as required.QualificationsIdeal candidates will have: strong communication proficiency (oral and written), organization skills, technical proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word), decision making, and problem solving/analysis.Minimum Qualifications: 10+ years of HVAC experience; project management experience; valid Universal EPA Section 608 certification for CFC/HFC refrigerants; valid driver’s license and good driving record; may require shift work and/or on-call duties; high school diploma or GED; graduate of apprentice program or trade school.Physical DemandsThe physical demands describe the essential functions of the job: ability to stoop, stand, climb, frequently lift a minimum of 50 lbs, install rigging/lifting devices; crouch and reach to install/move equipment; movement between departments, floors, and pensation & BenefitsAverage starting rate: $45.00 per hour.
