OverviewIT Lead, Infrastructure and Security – Location: Huntington Beach, CAThis role will oversee and manage our client's IT infrastructure, responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of IT systems, including networks, servers, cloud environments, and enterprise hardware. The ideal candidate will manage infrastructure projects and ensure business continuity through proactive system maintenance and strategic planning.ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure ManagementOversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud-based solutions.Ensure high availability, performance, and security of IT systems.Develop and implement IT policies and best practices related to infrastructure management.Maintain IT asset inventory and lifecycle management.Cybersecurity and ComplianceImplement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems.Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.Conduct regular risk assessments and business continuity planning.Project ManagementLead IT infrastructure projects from planning to execution, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.Develop project plans, define milestones, and track progress against objectives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT infrastructure projects with business goals.Identify risks, manage dependencies, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.Utilize project management frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, ITIL) to enhance project execution and delivery.Team Leadership and CollaborationCollaborate with other IT and business leaders to align infrastructure strategy with organizational goals.Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT infrastructure services and solutions.Supervise team members.Budget ManagementPlan and manage IT infrastructure budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI.Evaluate and recommend new technologies to optimize operational efficiency and cost savings.QualificationsFormal Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master degree).Technical ExpertiseStrong knowledge of networking (LAN / WAN, VPN, firewalls) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and enterprise storage solutions.Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux server environments.Project Management SkillsProven experience managing IT infrastructure projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.Ability to define project scope, allocate resources, and ensure successful implementation.Strong problem-solving, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills.Leadership and Communication: Strong team management, problem-solving, and communication skills.Certifications: PMP, ITIL, PRINCE2, CISSP, CCNA, AWS / Azure certifications.Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.Problem solving temperament.Seasoned experience in generating process documentation.Demonstrated analytical skills including experience eliciting requirements and testing.Ability to conduct research into hardware, software and products as required.Ability to communicate ideas, interface, and present IT subject matters in a user-friendly manner across the company including Sr. Executive Teams.Highly self-motivated and self-directed, with keen attention to detail.Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a quick-paced environment.Strong customer service mindset.Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative panyPlatinum Resource Group is a professional level consulting firm, providing resources to Fortune 1000 client companies in the areas of technology, human resources, accounting, finance, business systems and supply chain, on a contract and interim basis.
