You will support a variety of projects related to electrical equipment design, specifications, installation, repairs and maintenance.ResponsibilitiesCircuit protection device selection and coordination, arc flash and short-circuit analysisReview of electrical drawings, specifications and calculationsProvide man hour estimates to support proposals and material quantity takeoffs for cost estimatesPrepare Electrical Area Classification documents and Hazardous area classification analysis for electrical equipmentAssemble electrical engineering and drawing packages for review and approval; respond to RFIsAttend and participate in Client and Eichleay project team meetingsMaintain schedule and budget commitmentsPrepare material requisitions for bid and technical bid evaluation, including reviewing equipment specifications and vendor submittalsWork independently with minimal supervisionEnsure compliance with site, global and industry electrical standards and electrical safety, including NEC, IEEE, API, OSHA, UL and NFPA standardsPerform scope development and create technical specifications for electrical equipment and modificationsTechnically evaluate requests for exceptions to Client and Industry standardsPerform site assessments in industrial and life science locations and identify electrical site conditionsJob RequirementsMinimum of a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 10+ years of experience in Petrochemical/Heavy Industrial, Power Generation/Utility, Mining, Manufacturing or Life Science/BioPharma facilitiesMust have current TWIC or ability to obtain one and ability to work onsiteCurrent or previous cGMP training/experienceExperience in development and review of construction work packagesExperience with hazardous area classification, power distribution, lightning protection and grounding, and lighting engineering and designExperience providing man hour estimates to support proposals and material quantity takeoffs for cost estimatesExperience in Title 24 calculations and Washington State Energy codeAbility to assemble electrical engineering and drawing packages for review and approval, including responding to RFIsProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsStrong business communication skills for project team communications, reports, and documentationAbility to be badged for a process safety management governed facility which requires in-depth drug screeningPreferred RequirementsExperience in detailed electrical engineering, design and analysis of medium and high voltage equipment and power distribution systems (35kV to 230kV)Licensed Professional Engineer in Washington, California or MontanaExperience onsite at Petrochemical/Heavy Industrial or Life Science/BioPharma facilitiesExperience with Power System analysis software (ETAP/SKM/EasyPower)Experience in Renewable Energy projects (BESS, Solar, EV, Microgrids, Hydrogen)Experience with energy use reduction projects and GMP project designExperience with Power Generation and Utility System upgradesLEED/WELL/Fitwel certification preferredWhy Eichleay?We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
