Analyst Intellectual Property Advisory Summer 2026

OverviewWe are seeking an Analyst to join our Intellectual Property team. This role offers an entrepreneurial, highly driven person the opportunity to contribute beyond traditional Analyst responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of the Intellectual Property industry and be flexible and strategic, able to take on a variety of tasks.ResponsibilitiesPerform and synthesize in-depth industry, technology, and company-specific researchReview, organize, analyze, and summarize financial, marketing, and other documents produced by clientsBuild detailed financial models (e.g., discounted cash flow, comparable market/transaction analyses, and weighted average cost of capital)Develop and communicate clear takeaways from information with consideration for qualitative and quantitative factorsWrite detailed, persuasive reports and prepare PowerPoint presentationsCommunicate effectively with an array of team members, including senior leaders and clients, in a structured and thoughtful mannerManage multiple concurrent engagements, often of varying scopeQualificationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; engineering or technical background is a plusAcademic success – minimum 3.5 GPAProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointExcellent written and oral communication skillsHigh degree of professionalism, integrity, and flexibilityExceptional analytical skillsAbility to work well in a team environmentProgress toward relevant certifications is a plus (e.g., CFA, CPA, ASA)Preferred Qualifications:Relevant work experience in investment banking, private equity, M&A, corporate finance, and/or intellectual propertyPhysical and Mental Job QualificationsMust be willing to work in person in our Chicago, IL office on a hybrid scheduleNote: This job description is not designed to cover all activities, duties, or responsibilities and may change at any time with or without notice.By submitting your application, you acknowledge that you have read the J.S.
