Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Job TitleConsulting ManagerJob SummaryClient's Consulting practice provides our clients with valuable insight regarding managing risk and improving business performance. We assist our clients with improving their internal accounting policies and procedures and overall financial reporting processes. Our goal is to help our clients better understand their business by keeping them regularly informed about their financial progress by discussing accounting, financial, and regulatory developments that may impact their business.ResponsibilitiesManage and train internal staff as well as accounting personnel at client officesProvide financial statement analysis including but not limited to developing management reports and KPIsReview GAAP financial statements including the following:Preparation of bank reconciliationsAnalysis of accounts receivable and allowance for doubtful accountsAnalysis and capitalization and amortization of prepaid expensesInventory costing and valuation analysisAnalysis and accrual of expensesReconciliation of debt and accrued interestAnalysis of profit and loss statement including consideration of revenue and expense recognition principlesReconciliation of other balance sheet accounts based on the client’s businessEvaluate, recognize, and provide recommendations for improvements to systems and processes within an accounting function to ensure proper internal controlsReview of financial projections and forecasts including analysis of budget to actual results on an ongoing basisEvaluation and analysis of debt financing and other capital-raising alternativesAssistance with buy and sell side diligenceQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldActive CPA requiredMinimum of 6 years of experience in public accountingSkill RequirementsProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, intermediate to advanced Excel)Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with Quickbooks Desktop, Xero, Netsuite, Sage Intacct, and other accounting ERP systems are a plusAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentAbility to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneouslyExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team membersStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insightsOutstanding organization and project management skillsHighly motivated and takes initiative for professional growth and developmentHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to travel to client locations, which may include occasional overnight staysAbility to work overtime, as neededSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionAccounting/Auditing, Administrative, and FinanceIndustriesAccounting, Financial Services, and BankingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at AllSTEM Connections by 2xGet notified about new Consulting Manager jobs in Torrance, CA. #J-18808-Ljbffr
