Reporting directly to the Security Engineering Manager, you will work collaboratively with two other engineers. You'll be responsible for owning and executing technical security initiatives across our dynamic, cloud-native infrastructure, driving security improvements at speed and scale.The ideal candidate is a seasoned technical security generalist with a proven track record in securing modern, cloud-native environments. Known for your execution velocity, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to lead by example, you will make a significant impact on our security posture.What You'll Work On:Design and implement technical security controls aligned to CIS requirementsIntegrate security into CI/CD and infrastructure pipelinesBuild and maintain security automation for detection, response, and evaluate new security technologies and toolsRespond to security alerts, lead incident response investigations, and support requests in an on-call rotationDrive vulnerability management and system hardeningContribute to security documentation, risk assessments, and policy developmentManage and maintain IT security infrastructure and participate in IT asset security reviewsYour Areas Of Expertise:5+ years in a similar roleExperience securing cloud-native infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.) and proficient with Terraform or similar IaC toolsFamiliarity with AWS, GCP, and/or AzureUnderstanding of OWASP Top 10 and secure coding principlesExperience with SIEM, EDR, or detection pipelines (e.g. Crowdstrike, Datadog, etc.)Proficiency in scripting/automation languages (e.g. Python, Bash, Go, etc.)BonusExposure to SOC 2, CIS, or general compliance control frameworksCertifications (OSCP, GSEC, CKS, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, GCLD, GCPN, etc.)At Taskrabbit, our approach to compensation is designed to be competitive, transparent and equitable. total compensation consists of base pay + bonus + benefits + perks.The base pay range for this position is $115,000 - $160,000. This range is representative of base pay only, and does not include any other total cash compensation amounts, such as company bonus or benefits.
