If the opportunity to build your career is compelling, read on for more details.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Comfortable being in a hybrid role, working between the business, other data scientists, and data engineers to reveal what trends and KPIs matter. You will primarily focus on advancing conviction in decision making throughout Juul LabsDesign robust, reusable and scalable data solutions and data mining frameworks to automate analysis. We largely use DBT, BigQuery, Hex, Vertex AI, and Tableau today – however are open to adaptBuild models to analyze various datasets across the organization, largely leveraging our vast commercial sales and execution dataPartner and collaborate with Data Engineers in active development of large-scale engineering projects across the entire lifecycle of Data from source, ingestion, modeling, and miningWork in an agile environment using TrelloDevelop new systems and tools to enable stakeholders to consume and understand data more intuitivelyCreate and establish design standards and assurance processes to ensure compatibility and operability of data connections, flows and storage requirementsKeep JUUL Labs on the cutting edge of data technologyPerform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practiceOur Data Stack:Airflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, FivetranGoogle Cloud Platform - GCP (BigQuery, Vertex AI, Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, Cloud BuildDBTFoundational.IOTableau, HexPERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:5+ years of data science experienceExperience translating complex analytical findings into clear business recommendationsExperience independently driving data science and engineering solutionsAdvanced knowledge in using Python and SQL for data analysis over large-scale datasetsSkilled using python libraries and packages (Pandas, Polars, PyArrow) in conjunction with theGoogle Cloud Platform (BigQuery)Comfortable working on AI pipelines (Vertex AI)Knowledge of bash/shell and orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow), is preferredExperience with version control (Git) and containers (Docker)Skilled in analytical SQL in support of data modeling/ transformations and manipulating multipledata formats (dbt)Foundational expertise of deploying and maintaining machine learning pipelines is a plusEDUCATION:Bachelor's degree requiredMasters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent experience preferredJUUL LABS PERKS & BENEFITS:A place to grow your career.
