This role combines deep technical expertise in platform engineering,application design and agentic workflows with strong leadership andmentoring capabilities. You will be responsible for designing, implementing,and maintaining scalable, reliable frontend and backend systems that enableour business, product and engineering teams to build, test and deploy theirown AI agents & workflows. The candidate must have excellentcommunication skills and a proven track record of delivering business valuevia technical excellence. KEY REPONSIBILITIES:1. Platform Engineering:Architect and implement scalable multi-tenant backend systems forbuilding AI agent workflows, including agent configuration, offlineevaluation, synthetic data generation, workflow simulation, agentmarketplace, etc. using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), FastAPI, etc.,ensuring economy of scale and control cost of maintenance.Collaborate with Design team to architect and implement frontendexperiences and workflows for onboarding both technical and non-technical stakeholders, maximizing user adoption and successful AIagent developmentDevelop observability frameworks to ensure 99.9%+ uptime for AIagent platforms through robust monitoring, alerting, and incidentresponse proceduresEvaluate and (if desirable) integrate cutting-edge GenAI frameworks,libraries and vendors to maintain a state-of-the-art technology stack,including hybrid cloud solutions with AWS/GCP as backup orspecialized use casesArchitect and implement scalable, high-performance machine learningplatforms and systems capable of processing large data volumes andsupporting real-time decision making and workflows.2. DevOps/Application Lifecycle Management:Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of AI agent applications, ensuringrobust testing, deployment, and ongoing monitoring.Ensure adherence to company production readiness standards,security protocols, and regulatory compliance throughout thedevelopment lifecycle. Continuously optimize platform performance, reducing latency andimproving throughput for AI agent workloadsDesign and implement backup, recovery, and business continuity plansfor hosted platform applications & servicesDesign and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for ML model deploymentusing Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and MLOps tools3. Technical Leadership:Act as the tech lead across multiple sub-teams/initiatives, settingtechnical direction and ensuring consistency in design principles andbest practices.Provide hands-on mentorship and guidance during design reviews,code assessments, and performance tuning.Lead by example in tackling complex technical challenges and drivingsystem-wide architectural improvements.Establish and champion engineering standards for ML infrastructure,deployment practices, and operational proceduresCreate technical documentation, runbooks, and deliver internal trainingsessions on platform capabilities4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and productteams to seamlessly deploy ML systems into productionenvironments.Translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for bothtechnical and non-technical stakeholders.Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and thesharing of best practices across teams.Present technical solutions and platform roadmaps to leadership andcross-functional stakeholders QUALIFICATIONS:Technical SkillsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or arelated field; an advanced degree (master’s or Ph.D.) is highlydesirable.10+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, andmaintaining multi-tenant AIML systems and platforms in productionenvironments.10+ years of experience working with cloud platforms such as Azureand AWS.Extensive expertise in designing and deploying large-scale datapipelines and real-time inference systems and managing the end-to-end AI Agent and/or AIML system development lifecycles, includingconfiguration, evaluation, monitoring, observability and AuthN/AuthRconsiderations8+ years of experience working with common backend systems & tools(e.g, Kubernetes, Temporal, OpenSearch, PostgreSQL, Redis, Neo4J,etc.). Deep understanding of Docker, container optimization, and multi- stage builds. Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetryand distributed tracing4+ years of experience building front-end web applications usingframeworks such as React and/or Next.JSDeep proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Go,etc., with a strong emphasis on coding excellence. Extra credit forproperly leveraging AI coding tools such as Cursor for productivitygainsProficiency in AIML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Langraph,etc.Leadership Skills:Demonstrated track record of mentoring engineers and leadingtechnical initiativesProven ability to tackle complex technical challenges, innovate throughhands-on experimentation, and set technical standards.Excellent verbal and written communication against audience ofdiverse seniority levels and professional backgroundsPreferred Specialized SkillsUnderstanding of AI safety principles, model governance, andregulatory complianceBackground in regulated industries with understanding of data privacyrequirements and cybersecurity review processesDeep expertise operating and/or building AI agent platforms &capabilities like Langsmith/Langraph platform, Autogen, N8N, Crew.ai,Dify.ai etc.Experience building LLM-based AI agent workflows via both nocode/low code and traditional high-code development environmentsExperience utilizing both open source (e.g. llama, Qwen, Mistral) andproprietary (e.g. GPT, Claude) LLMs for appropriate tasksIf you are passionate about pushing the boundaries of generative aiplatforms, thrive in a hands-on technical leadership role, and enjoy solvingcomplex, large-scale problems, we encourage you to apply.
