ZGF is seeking a Senior Architectural Project Manager with 15+ years of experience to join our team in our Washington, D.C. office. We are looking for a self-directed and thoughtful individual with excellent communication and technical skills.As a Senior Architectural Project Manager, you…Lead with the skills and experience necessary to act effectively as a Project Designer/Project Architect on complex projects.Set direction with the project team and client for the execution of project goals and objectives, definition of scope, selection of items for investigation, and development of novel concepts and methods.Seek engagement and collaboration at all levels, including the internal and external design team, clients, and contractors.Are energized to create something new every day and are eager to work collaboratively with others toward design solutions.Bring a track record of success with complex, multi-phase projects – including commercial development, mixed-use, athletics, government, higher education, institutional research, healthcare – to the firm.Manage teams from concept design through construction and have a deep understanding of building, zoning, energy codes, ADA, construction standards, and other regulatory requirements.Mentor and manage staff at all levels.Are responsible for the effective performance of the project team regarding project quality, schedule, and budget.Contribute to general office-wide initiatives and marketing efforts.Demonstrate motivation in seeking new responsibilities and challenges.Help build relationships with clients and consultants with other team leaders.Qualifications:Professional Architectural degree and a minimum of 15 years of related experienceAbility to lead and manage large teamsExperience with a variety of client types including developers, government agencies, and large institutionsArchitectural registration is expected.Well-rounded, strategic-thinker with an integrated approach to design, management, and technical project resolutionHighly motivated, proactive, and passionateWell-organized and detail-orientedExcellent communication, design presentation, and storytelling skillsExperience in a variety of building types, building materials, technical design, and construction techniquesSignificant knowledge, expertise, and initiative to explore and carry out new or complex assignments requiring the development of innovative techniques and proceduresDemonstrated leadership, management, and team communication skillsAbility to navigate complex situations requiring diplomacy, interpersonal skills, and judgementAbility to perceive the goals of others, help to set priorities on projects and initiatives, and positively motivate individuals within the context of projects and the firmDemonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships outside the project team and the firm to facilitate project acquisition, innovation, and then validation of project directionAbility to develop and process fee proposals and contractual agreements for a projectExperience in Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, and other forms of project deliveryProficiency in Deltek Vision and Vantage Point, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and RevitBase Salary Range$118.000/yr - $142.000/yr based on skills and experience level.ZGF Employees Enjoy Medical, Dental and Vision coverage with a generous employer contribution, HSA with employer contribution, 401k with employer match, 4 weeks of PTO and 10 paid holidays per year, paid parental and family leave programs.Apply With:ResumeWe know that great projects take more than a design team to become a reality.
