Learn more atrlcore.ai .The OpportunityRLCore is seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial leader to build and execute our go-to-market strategy & execution. As our first dedicated GTM and business development hire, you will own the full lifecycle from identifying opportunities to closing deals, cultivating long-term relationships and delivering revenue growth across end customers, OEM & Consulting partners and System Integrators. This role is equal parts strategic and hands-on: you’ll craft positioning and pricing, develop a repeatable, scalable commercial motion, and work directly with plant engineers, partners, and C-suite leaders to deploy our software solutions. You will be directly responsible for building our revenue pipeline and landing early customer and partner contracts that drive commercial success. While our initial focus is water and wastewater treatment, this role will play a critical part in driving expansion into adjacent industrial verticals (e.g. Oil & Gas, Energy, Chemicals). Prefer candidates in Edmonton or Seattle; exceptional candidates in other locations are welcome to apply.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, prioritize, and engage potential customers and partners across target verticals.Build a high-quality pipeline of prospects, including municipalities, utilities, industrial operators, OEMs, and SIs.Develop relationships with decision-makers at all levels, from technical staff to executives.Define and refine RLCore’s go-to-market strategy, messaging, and positioning across verticals.Shape pricing models, licensing frameworks, and commercial agreements that reflect customer value.Build GTM + Sales collateral, case studies, and materials that communicate the impact of Real-Time Autonomous Optimization.Solution Selling & Deal ManagementLead the end-to-end sales cycle: discovery, value proposition development, proposals, negotiation, and closing.Design pilot and deployment strategies that help customers adopt RLCore’s technology in complex operational environments.Work collaboratively with product and engineering to align customer needs with our roadmap.Revenue GrowthOwn revenue growth targets and pipeline developmentDevelop and execute plans to achieve sales goals across priority industries and geographies.Partnership DevelopmentIdentify and cultivate relationships with OEM technology providers, SCADA/DCS vendors, engineering consulting firms, and other channel partners.Establish and manage strategic alliances that accelerate market adoption and revenue growth.Thought Leadership & Brand BuildingRepresent RLCore at conferences, industry events, and customer forums.Contribute to content marketing and educational efforts to position RLCore as an industry pioneer.QualificationsMust-Have10+ years of experience in business development, GTM, or strategic sales for industrial technology solutions (software, automation, or controls).Proven track record of closing complex deals with industrial customers and partners, revenue growth in a B2B setting.Good understanding of industrial systems (SCADA, DCS, PLC) and operational optimization challenges.Ability to engage technical and executive stakeholders and translate sophisticated solutions into clear business value.Experience operating in an early-stage or growth-stage environment.Experience building GTM processes, materials, and playbooks from scratch, developing pricing strategies and commercial models.Self-starter mentality with comfort navigating ambiguity and building processes from scratch.Nice to HaveNetworks or prior experience at system integrators, engineering consulting firms or automation companies (e.g., Veolia, Stantec, Jacobs, Emerson, etc.)Exposure to AI/ML, industrial IoT, or optimization software.Experience entering new verticals or scaling GTM efforts beyond the initial market.Why Join RLCoreShape a Category: Help define and lead the adoption of Real-Time Autonomous Optimization across industries.Make an Impact: Tackle real-world problems that drive sustainability, resilience, and efficiency.Build from the Ground Up: Lay the foundation for RLCore’s commercial success and grow into a senior leadership role.Collaborate with Top Talent: Work with leading experts in reinforcement learning, control systems, and industrial AI.Ownership & Flexibility: Competitive compensation, equity upside, health benefits, and a remote-friendly environmentName *Email address *Cover Letter (required) and Resume (required).
