OverviewThe Practice Manager is a key leadership role within our Services consulting division, responsible for the technical leadership and personnel management of the Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) practice. This individual will ensure that methodologies and service delivery processes are current, consistently followed, and effectively support high-quality client engagements. As both a people leader and a billable resource, the Practice Manager will oversee delivery standards, participate in client engagements, and mentor team members to ensure ongoing growth and excellence.How you’ll make an impactPractice Leadership & Delivery OversightServe as the primary leader of the SASE consulting practice, collaborating with senior leadership on strategy and day-to-day operationsEnsure all methodologies and engagement processes are documented, up to date, and consistently applied across all projectsReview and approve project deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with customer expectations and statements of work (SOW)Participate in client engagements, including kickoff calls, on-site meetings, and final presentations to ensure technical quality and client satisfactionMonitor consultant performance on a per-project basis and maintain data for ongoing reviews and developmentStaffing, Mentorship & DevelopmentCollaborate with Practice Directors and leadership to make staffing decisions aligned with consultant skills, goals, and client needsEnsure consultants are equipped with the necessary resources and delivery plans for successful project executionMentor consultants through engagements, especially where a skills gap exists, and provide ongoing support and pairing as neededFacilitate annual and pre-engagement training plans for skill developmentManage consultant utilization effectively, aligning bench time with practice research and capability-building goalsConduct semi-annual performance reviews focused on development, training, and career growthSales & Pre-Sales SupportProvide technical expertise and sales enablement support for Network and Edge Security services, with an emphasis on SASE.Contribute to the creation and maintenance of pre-sales materials, including:Customer-facing one-pagers and service descriptionsInternal sales battle cardsPractice brochures and website contentSupport Optiv Account Managers and inside sales teams with client interactions, technical scoping, and SOW review.Assist in developing sales training materials and sanitized deliverable examples for reuse.Subcontractor & Project SupportIdentify and manage subcontractor resources as needed, including SOW creation and coordination with the Delivery Management team.Track pending project pipeline to forecast skills needs and plan resourcing accordingly.What we're looking forMinimum 7 years of experience in information security, with a strong emphasis on SASE solutions (e.g., Netskope, Zscaler, Palo Alto, Cisco)3–5 years of experience managing professional services teams in a high-growth environment3–5 years of experience with cybersecurity projects including risk, compliance, threat management, and digital resilience5–7 years of experience working with regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, HITECH, FISMA, NIST CSF, GDPR, and MITRE ATT&CKStrong leadership and communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to interface with clients at all organizational levelsDemonstrated experience in team development, project quality assurance, and client satisfactionCISSP or other relevant cybersecurity certifications preferredOther Requirements:Ability to travel up to 40% of the timeWillingness to work more than 40 hours per week as neededHigh school diploma or GED required; BS/BBA preferredSalary Range Description$134,600.00 - $184,500.00 AnnualThe Hiring Range provided for this role is informed by (but not limited to) various factors including responsibilities of the position, work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, geography, as well as other market influences when extending an offer. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for these factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a variable incentive-based bonus plan.
