OverviewGovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Oracle Database Developer to support our client’s contract needs. This position is located in the Washington DC area and will be a full remote position.ResponsibilitiesExtensive Oracle database experienceRecent Oracle experienceCreate and maintain complex stored procedures/packages for OracleCreate and maintain database schemas for OracleCreate and maintain partitions in Oracle to facilitate query performance and data maintenanceMaintain the existing applications and enhance the system as per client requirementsModify existing procedures/packages to incorporate new functionalitiesUNIX Shell scriptingAnalyze system issues and devise and execute remediation plansPerform code reviews and bug fixingConduct performance tuning of existing queries and packagesComply with all required standards and processes and devise approach to ensure compliance across the teamProvide complete technical and maintenance support to the systemsRun the assigned projects solo as well as working as a teamUse of Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Developer, PuTTY, Shell Scripting, UNIX, and LinuxInteract directly with the customer on behalf of the team to resolve issues or identify new requirements to be addressed by the teamQualificationsBachelor’s Degree in a Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field with 12+ years (or commensurate experience) in ITRequired Skills and ExperienceExtensive and recent Oracle database experienceAWS Experience or GCP experience7-8 years of PL/SQL development experienceExcellent written and oral communication skillsUnderstanding and knowledge of Software Development Life CycleMaintains strong attention to detail in high-pressure situationsExhibit confidence and knowledge in solving problemsWork well independently and within a teamProficient in Microsoft OfficeExcellent time management skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyWillingness to learn and acquire new knowledgeClearance RequiredAble to obtain a Public Trust Clearance and must have been within US for the last 5 years with no cumulative travel outside the US exceeding 6 pany OverviewGovCIO is a team of transformers--people who are passionate about transforming government IT.
