Senior Engineer – Advanced Applications Engineering Program Operations (Remote Eligible, U.S.)We are seeking a Senior Engineer – Advanced Applications Engineering (AAE) Program Operations to join the Advanced Application Engineering team. This role focuses on planning, developing, and executing innovative and holistic organizational development programs that drive performance, enabling the organization to scale to meet business demands and ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of early works projects and new product developments. We strive to foster an inclusive culture where everyone feels welcomed, respected, and able to contribute their best work.Essential ResponsibilitiesReport directly to the Senior Manager, Engineering Programs.Scale support for growing business commercial proposal activity and marketing opportunities.Lead team operating reviews, including monthly operating reviews, SIOP reviews, and daily management.Steer continuous improvement processes (CAP, self-assessments, benchmarks, safety culture).Develop implementation, change management, and communication plans for AAE and unit challenges and priorities.Create consistent and standard materials (e.g., Change Management Framework, OE domain area training & communications) for AAE.Apply change methodology to embed effective change management across the organization.Manage implementation of business initiatives, program design, and organizational and cultural changes; lead associated project teams.Coach, facilitate, and advance maturity in the Operating Review process and execution.Lead Daily Management and Problem Solving implementation; coach and drive maturity in the process.Deliver process improvements that improve customer outcomes, KPIs, and leadership terpret business challenges and share best practices; lead benchmarking with other GVH businesses to inform decisions.Lead teams to develop creative solutions for complex problems; evaluate data quality and leverage internal and external resources.Analyze data to develop recommendations addressing potential and existing unit challenges.Guide leadership on managing external resources to ensure deliverable quality, flexibility, and cost improvements.Protect GVH Intellectual Property rights and ensure adherence to GVH nuclear safety and compliance standards.Partner with business teams to present product/program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks, and recommendations to senior leaders across GVH.Required QualificationsBachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related science/technical disciplineAt least 8 years of progressive engineering design and/or project leadership experienceAt least 6 years of experience in the commercial nuclear industry or equivalent large-scale new-build experience in the power industryEligibilityPreferred work location is the GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy headquarters in Wilmington, NC, but highly qualified remote candidates will be considered.Must be willing to travel up to 20% (50% if working remote).This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information; final offers contingent on authorization to access such information from the U.S. Government.Desired CharacteristicsLean practitioner and/or expert.Ability to liaise between organizations operating in separate geographic locations.High-performing, results-driven, change-agent with strong teamwork and leadership behaviors.Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable steps.Project management skills (communication, risk, planning/scheduling, change management).EPC experience and knowledge; specifically, power plants.Understanding of nuclear industry and technology; excellent written and verbal communication.Ability to document, plan, market, and manage programs that enhance knowledge, understanding, and capability of the pensation and BenefitsThe base pay range for this position is $112,000 to $160,000. The offer may be influenced by experience, education, and skill set. This position is eligible for bonuses (e.g., performance bonus/variable incentive).
