The ideal candidate will have experience with Palo Alto firewalls in a Cloud environment and will be able to work collaboratively with a diverse team of engineers, designers, and product managers.As a Network Architect at Cognizant TriZetto, you understand network tooling and configuration, infrastructure, and relevant integration points. You discuss and explain inbound/outbound data flow, and other functional and technical aspects of solution architecture. You will work with internal stakeholders to understand how our solutions fit into various environments, and you will maintain the network architecture and design to meet our existing standards, while evaluating those and proposing updates/changes as needed.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance network infrastructuresLead the planning, configuration, and maintenance of network systemsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to align network solutions with business objectivesOversee network security, performance monitoring, and troubleshootingEvaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance network capabilitiesEnsure compliance with industry standards and best practicesQualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business Administration, or equivalent experience.Required Experience:At least 3-5 years of experience in purely networking roles, with a proven track record of delivering with high-quality and consistencyExperience designing LAN/WAN, Cloud and Hybrid networksUnderstanding of high availability (HA), redundancy, load balancing, and failover strategiesUnderstanding of load and how to build scalable solutionsExperience designing network segments (Zero Trust, DNZ, VPN, etc).Deep understanding of firewall design – Palo Alto a plusExperience working with Azure VNets, AWS VPCs, ExpressRoute, and micro-segmentationAbility to build and deliver on Cloud migration plans, Business Continuity Planning, and DR network architectureDesired Experience:Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field: Advanced education to enhance technical expertiseCloud platforms: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure and knowledge of cloud-native development and deployment practicesContainerization and orchestration: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and other containerization and orchestration toolsDevOps practices: Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Security practices: Understanding of security best practices and the ability to implement them in firewalls and throughout the Cloud network stackDevelopment/scripting experience a plus, especially in PowerShell and Azure RunbooksBehavioral CompetenciesStrong problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex problems, identify solutions, and implement them effectively.Excellent communication skills: Ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Technical CompetenciesRouting, VLANs, IP subnetting and route summarization, end-to-end network architecture understanding, Authorization, Zero-Trust Architecture, Terraform exposure, Software-Defined Networking patterns, Wireshark, traffic analysis, Load Balancers, CDNs, multi-path, and CI/CDSalary and BenefitsSalary and Other Compensation:Applicants will be accepted till 9/22/2025The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $113K-$132K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.Benefits : Cognizant offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:Medical/Dental/Vision/Life InsurancePaid holidays plus Paid Time Off401(k) plan and contributionsLong-term/Short-term DisabilityPaid Parental LeaveEmployee Stock Purchase PlanDisclaimer: The salary, other compensation, and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
