OverviewSenior Director, Regional Sales – Northeast. Remote. Vera Therapeutics (Nasdaq: VERA) is a late clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing treatments for serious immunological diseases. Vera’s lead product candidate is atacicept, a fusion protein self-administered at home as a subcutaneous once weekly injection that blocks both BAFF and APRIL. This leader will build, coach, and manage a high-performing team of nephrology rare disease sales specialists (7–9 direct reports). You will set strategic direction for your region, drive execution, and foster cross-functional collaboration across marketing, training, field reimbursement, field medical, and patient support services.ResponsibilitiesHire, coach, and inspire a high-performing team of rare disease sales specialistsCreate a culture of accountability, resilience, and continuous learningServe as a role model for Vera’s values, compliance standards, and commitment to patientsCommercial Execution: Drive sales performance and achieve or exceed regional targets for new patient starts and/or other objectives defined by VeraAct as a player-coach by building strong relationships with key HCPs and accountsLead regional execution of launch strategies to bring atacicept to patients with IgANCross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Patient Support, Field Reimbursement, Marketing, Regional Marketing, and other customer-facing functions to ensure coordinated customer engagement as a One Vera teamProvide strategic input to shape regional and national initiatives with a patient-first mindsetBusiness & Market Leadership: Demonstrate expertise in IgAN, its evolving treatment landscape, and the patient journey; apply financial and business acumen, including budget oversight and P&L managementOperational Excellence: Foster a culture that ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policiesTravel extensively within the region (3–4 days/week) and to headquarters in San Francisco and national/regional meetings as requiredTerritory: This region covers New York City, Boston, the New England states, and parts of Upstate New YorkQualificationsBachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (or equivalent experience)12+ years of healthcare/biopharmaceutical experience5+ years of front-line sales management experienceProven track record in specialty or rare disease sales; nephrology experience is a plusConsistent history of top sales performance as a leader, recognition/awards, and leadership impactExperience leading cross-functional, customer-facing teamsStrong knowledge of compliance, regulatory standards, and industry best practicesStrong preference for residing in the geographic regionValid driver’s licenseVera Therapeutics Inc. is an equal-opportunity employer.
