In certain jurisdictions, CBIZ CPAs operates under its previous name, Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C.We are seeking candidates with Global Information Reporting (GIR) experience who are interested in joining a fast-growing team providing tax co-sourcing/outsourcing services to global Private Equity Funds. Team members are responsible for consulting with the client as if they were their in-house tax department. The opportunity will include working with CBIZ team members, as well as client personnel, virtually and/or at the client location.Essential Functions and Primary DutiesAs a Managing Director within the Global Information Reporting Services practice you will be part of a diverse team abound with opportunity to grow into a financial industry leader in the area of international tax transparency, transforming Private Equity processesSuccessfully develop, nurture and manage client relationships by consistently providing clients timely and appropriate communication and services in relation to their needsBe viewed as trusted personal and business advisor by clientsProvide advisory services to financial institutions regarding FATCA, CRS, Chapter 3 (1042 & 8804 reporting and withholding) and Withholding Foreign PartnershipsDirect multiple engagements which include consulting, compliance, and tax planning servicesConsult with client service team to design, communicate and implement innovative planning ideas for clientsGuide and manage IRS and state auditsParticipate and actively contribute to new business development activities, including prospecting, networking and representing CBIZ at industry and related eventsDesign and deliver technical training on Individual related tax topicsRecruit, supervise, train, develop and motivate less experienced team membersPromote a team environment; demonstrate support of management decisions and builds a positive culture.Contribute to management of internal tax department through committee membership and group leader responsibilitiesPerform other responsibilities as necessaryPreferred QualificationsComprehensive tax planning and consulting experience and demonstrated expertise in FATCA, CRS, Chapter 3 of the Internal Revenue Code, WHFPs, QIs, 871m or other withholding and reporting regimesMarket leading technical expertise of 1042, 8804, FATCA & CRS returns, and tax form validation (W-8, W-9 or CRS Self-Certifications)Demonstrated success providing consultative service to global financial services companies with banking and brokerage clients.An ability to effectively present information and appropriately respond to questions from clients and team membersA track record of successful new business development experienceExcellent analytical, supervisory, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills necessaryExperience and continued interest in developing and mentoring junior team membersProficiency in MS Word, Outlook and ExcelAdvanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM, accounting degree or MBAPrevious public accounting or law firm experienceMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field10 years' experience in public accounting or related field10 years supervisory experienceMust have CPA or equivalent certificationAbility to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessaryProficient use of applicable technologyDemonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels or organization, both internally and externallyProven high level of business integrity, client service and leadership skillsMust be able to travel based on client and business needsIn compliance with states that have an active pay transparency lawThe annual salary target for this job in this market is $200,000 - $450,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skillset of the individual selected for this position.Outside of base compensation there are opportunities for - Commissions and/or Annual Bonuses (variable depending on firm and associate performance).The compensation above is not representative of an employee's total compensation.
