Position SummaryThe Compliance Business Partner models Compassus values (Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, Innovation) and promotes the Compassus philosophy using the 6 Pillars of Success. This role upholds the Code of Ethical Conduct and fosters positive working relationships within the company and with external stakeholders. It serves as the primary Compliance resource for the designated business segment and upholds all Compliance policies and procedures, promoting a speak-up culture of Compliance. The Automation assists program, area, and regional operations teams in recognizing potential state/federal legal, regulatory, and Company policy violations. The Compliance Business Partner collaborates with other Compliance team members, support functions, and business leaders. This position reports to the Director of Compliance Operations. Fully remote position open to working Mountain and/or Pacific Time Zones.Position Specific ResponsibilitiesEnsure socialization and awareness of Compliance policies/procedures at all levels within the assigned geographic territoryDevelop and deploy ongoing and as-needed Compliance on-site and virtual education and communication initiativesAct as a Compliance liaison to the assigned geographic territory to ensure appropriate education flows from Compliance audit resultsCoordinate with Compliance on routine program initiatives, including tracking training completion and monitoring Conflict-of-Interest certification, OIG exclusion results, etc.Monitor regulatory requirements and emerging activity for the assigned territoryMonitor Key Compliance metrics and statistics from Compliance reportingPrepare reports and presentations regarding Compliance program activities and effectiveness for executives and business leadersPartner with the geographic Chief Operating Officer regarding Compliance initiatives, communications, operations, and results within the territoryStay abreast of business strategies to provide timely Compliance advice and support to the territoryServe as a liaison for the Compliance investigatory team within the territory, including gathering information, conducting interviews, and developing/executing corrective action plansParticipate in the annual Compliance Risk Assessment and follow-up actionsCoordinate with internal departments to mitigate/address Compliance issues and risk areasRecommend innovative approaches to improve the effectiveness of the Compliance departmentAttend meetings, educational programs, and Company projects as requestedPromote home health, hospice, and palliative care philosophyTravel up to 50%Perform other duties assignedEducation and/or ExperienceBachelor/'s degree requiredFive (5) years Healthcare Compliance experience requiredHospice and/or Home Health Compliance experience preferredSkillsMathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, team members, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces integrated healthcare at home philosophy.Certifications, Licenses, and RegistrationsHealthcare Compliance certification preferred (CHC, CHPC, etc.)Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
