OverviewCFO job at AppleOne. Los Angeles, CA. We are seeking an experience Director of Finance ready to step into the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This pivotal position will oversee all financial operations, ensuring the organization's fiscal health and supporting its mission-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of nonprofit financial management, a passion for social justice, and the strategic vision to lead our financial planning and operations.ResponsibilitiesFinancial Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement long-term financial strategies aligned with the organization's mission and goals. Provide strategic financial insights to the executive team and board of directors to inform decision-making. Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning to ensure financial sustainability.Financial Operations & Oversight: Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash flow management. Prepare and present accurate financial reports to internal and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing nonprofit financial practices.Audit & Compliance: Coordinate and oversee the annual audit process, working closely with external auditors. Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets. Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and other regulatory documents.Idealist Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
