Job TitleDirector of Sales - On Premise Full BookLocations: Greater Seattle Area, Washington, United States; Kent, Washington, United StatesPay Range: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per yearJob DetailsSummaryThe Sales Director is accountable for achieving or exceeding all sales targets for their assigned territory.Key ResponsibilitiesAccountable for attainment of annual volume, gross profit and safety goals for assigned territoryAccountable for performance of all sales, distribution, ad and display goals in assigned chains.Ensure supplier satisfaction by achieving mutually agreed upon annual business plan volume and distribution objectives.Assist with product forecasting by providing input on sales trend variances to allow for inventory modifications.Partner with Senior Management to ensure effective and efficient day to day operations; perform regular evaluations of sales department call frequency and service levels, out of sequence patterns, instill "Perfect Stop" and Route Execution to maximize efficiencies and reduce costs.Drive sales performance through Columbia Qualifier programs in accordance with company policies.Schedule, organize and lead all sales meetings as requiredPerform Market Vision Performance (MVP) surveys as frequently as required by Senior Management.Identify and communicate opportunities seen within the market to senior management and proactively problem solve to make improvements.Recruit, train, motivate and develop your team.Key CompetenciesStrong sense of accountabilityAbility to develop and motivate staff to achieve maximum potentialGeneral knowledge of industry productsExcellent oral and written communication skillsEffective organizational, analytical and time management skillsAbility to develop strong relationships with internal and external customersAbility to work independently while managing multiple tasks and meet deadlinesProficiency with Microsoft Office and sales reporting programsKnowledge of budgetary process and managementAbility to build presentations and develop business reviews utilizing current dataDemonstrate flexibility in overcoming objections and personalitiesPeople ManagementThis position will manage a diverse group of employees from individual contributors to middle management people leadersPhysical DemandsLift/Carry and Push/Pull up to 50lbsBend/stoop/crouch/squat/use arms/wrists/hands/graspUse of industry tools: hand truck, six wheeler, manual pallet jack, box cutterWork indoors and outdoorsDriving requiredPosition Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position, days/hours of work vary, and may include weekendsTravelAbility to travel throughout the day for visits to customer accountsEducation and ExperienceRequired Education and ExperienceHigh School diploma or GED requiredValid driver's license and auto insurance requiredMinimum of five (5) years previous beverage industry sales experienceMinimum of three (3) years previous sales management experiencePreferred Education and ExperienceBachelor's or advanced degreeCompensationActual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
