OverviewStaff Manufacturing Test Engineer, Optimus — Tesla. Tesla is looking for a Manufacturing Test Engineer to join the Optimus Manufacturing Team in building revolutionary humanoid bi-pedal robots (Tesla Bot) that transform the way we approach mundane, repetitive, and hazardous tasks. As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and manufacturing engineering to bring this ambitious vision to life. Be prepared to unleash your creativity and technical expertise to tackle complex challenges.What You'll Do Develop end to end test strategies and drive continuous improvement of Tesla Bot manufacturing test coverage and processes Conduct PFMEA to identify process risks and failure modes. Develop comprehensive quality control plan for risk mitigation Work with design, test software and firmware engineers to implement test coverage to catch build issues from bot subassembly through full bot assembly lines Work with SQE, SIE and suppliers to drive electronics component test coverage and incoming quality control Analyze manufacturing test data to quantify station yields, root cause failures and drive corrective actions.
