Overview Our Robotic Lead Physician Assistant would be primarily responsible for surgical first assistance in robotic surgical cases and involved in the training of other PAs, Perioperative personnel and residents/fellows regarding robotic procedures, efficiency, and operations. The Robotic Team lead provides oversight and assists in the development of the expanding robotic program at Stamford Health, focusing on clinical safety and quality improvement. This leader will facilitate Robotic Committee activities and work with Intuitive Genesis program and PeriOperative Leadership to achieve goals. Patient population includes Urology, Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology and Oral Maxillofacial patients at Stamford Hospital & Tully ORs. PAs may cover for general surgery during surgical resident didactics. Responsibilities Provide surgical first assistance in robotic procedures. Participate in training of PAs, perioperative personnel, and residents/fellows on robotic procedures, efficiency, and operations. Provide oversight and contribute to the development of the robotic program, focusing on clinical safety and quality improvement. Facilitate Robotic Committee activities and collaborate with the Intuitive Genesis program and PeriOperative Leadership to achieve program goals. Support care for patient populations including Urology, Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology, and Oral Maxillofacial at Stamford Hospital & Tully ORs. Cover for general surgery during surgical resident didactics as needed. Requirements & Qualifications B.A./B.S. and completion of 2 years accredited P.A. training program required Current NCCPA certification required BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred Minimum of five (5) years surgical PA experience required Demonstrated proficiency and credentialed in robotic surgery, completion of robotic training course (Intuitive), experience in training and quality assurance activities preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
