The E Product Line conducts cutting-edge microelectronics research and delivers advanced microelectronic products across development and production areas that advance mission capabilities in commercial imaging and defense applications.BAE Systems seeks a transformative leader to drive fundamental scientific technology advancement in uE, including development and production of RF/microwave, digital, and mixed-signal ICs, through internal and external foundries. The leader will reliably deliver cutting-edge production products addressing evolving warfighter needs, helping our nation stay ahead of threats. As a key member of the FAST Labs leadership team, this role involves shaping the future of defense technology, exploring commercial opportunities, and making a lasting impact on national defense and security.The successful candidate will lead a talented cross-functional E workforce to achieve business success via strategy development and portfolio execution. The leader will directly manage the product line’s science team, IC design and development, and production, while collaborating with production engineers. The PLD is accountable for identifying, creating, and delivering discriminating technology and products and for strong customer relations both internal and external to BAE Systems. The PLD will participate in developing new business opportunities in technology creation, maturation, product transition, and product delivery related to E technologies and capabilities. The PLD will also have financial planning and optimization responsibilities in a dynamic environment, including developing new business models for commercial delivery of microelectronics products. Operations span multiple locations in Nashua, NH; Merrimack, NH; and Lexington, MA.ResponsibilitiesLead E with a focus on culture across uE, FAST Labs and ES.Drive collaboration between FAST Labs teams in partnership with ES Engineering, the Microelectronics MMIC Foundry, and applicable engineering resources.Model behavior aligned with BAE Systems Cultural Principles and FAST Labs Guiding Principles.Lead the E organization to achieve the mission and strategy in the FAST Labs and ES Technology Strategy.Provide leadership oversight and active engagement in developing and pursuing business opportunities aligned with the E Product Line.Provide leadership oversight in preparation of technical, management, and cost proposals.Provide leadership and active engagement in the execution of S&T, development, and production programs within the portfolio.Provide leadership for ES microelectronics product leverage strategies, roadmaps, and cross‑enterprise collaboration.Make bid decisions per delegated authorities and allocate bid and proposal funds across E technical areas.Maintain cognizance of corporate capabilities and identify new business leads for other BAE Systems Product Lines.Ensure programs are executed in accordance with BAE Systems Program Management Policies.Coordinate efforts across multiple projects, pursue follow-on opportunities, and support cross Product Line and Business Area programs to optimize market opportunities.Engage with BAE Systems Business Areas to facilitate transition of E technology to products, including early engagement on major R&D pursuits and coordinating roadmaps and investments.Work with the E leadership team to manage human capital, including recruiting, development, sponsorship/mentorship, engagement, and succession planning.Required Education, Experience, & SkillsProven ability to lead a diverse organization across multiple geographic sites.Capability to lead large organizations through complex culture change.Advanced degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or business administration.>15 years of portfolio management experience in microelectronics R&D and production for Commercial Imaging, Defense, or related markets.Ability to think strategically and implement actions to achieve goals in a changing environment.Business and technical leadership focused on microelectronics production.Strong customer focus with the ability to build and manage relationships with internal customers and external ecosystem partners.Skilled at navigating complex interpersonal dynamics to create a collaborative, high-performing team environment.Ability to communicate at all levels within the customer and corporate communities.Business development mindset with experience in growth strategies within the microelectronics ecosystem.Proven ability to share and transfer technology across organizational petent in talent management, performance management, mentoring, coaching, and team communications.Ability to achieve results through others and to develop leaders in the organization.Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain DoD Top Secret with SCI and SAP clearances.Preferred Education, Experience, & SkillsActive US Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.Knowledge of commercial microelectronics business models and pricing.Breadth of business leadership from technology seedling through product development to sustainment.Passion to deliver Electronic Systems Defense and Commercial Missions: We Protect Those Who Protect Us and We Innovate for Those Who Move the World.Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $196,296 - $333,704Please note: This range is based on market pay structures.
