OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Tax Manager to expand revenue and deliver exceptional value to our clients. The role involves collaborating with practice offices and the business development team to support existing client relationships and new opportunities. It is ideal for someone with deep technical expertise, a strategic mindset, and a passion for mentoring and growth.Key ResponsibilitiesDeep understanding of IRC Sections 41 and 174 and related regulations and guidanceDevelop and execute project work plansLead technical interviews with client personnel such as scientists and engineersDevelop appropriate quantitative and qualitative documentation to support project resultsDrive business development and sales growthManage risk and technical review of R&D projectsLead Federal and state controversies related to R&D tax credits and Section 174Exhibit proven leadership and project management skills in managing client service teams and multiple projects in a fast-paced and interactive team environment to meet and exceed client expectationsStrong data management skills, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and AlteryxStrong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skillsAbility to mentor and develop managers and young professionals, including on-the-job technical training and coaching Exceptional client service and communication skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationshipsQualificationsBachelors degree in Accounting, Engineering or related field (Master's in Taxation a plus)6+ years of experience in public accounting, with strong preference for Big 4 firms or large regional firm backgroundsProven expertise in R&D tax credit consulting, with emphasis on Sections 41 and 174Active CPA, EA or PE requiredDemonstrated success in managing client relationships, leading teams, and developing businessPay and BenefitsThe base pay range is $120,500.00/yr - $302,500.00/yr. The wage range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $120,500.00 - $302,500.00 per year.
