We offer a flexible work environment with a family friendly work-life balance.What a Great Candidate Looks Like:4+ years of professional industry experience, in addition to your academic experienceStrong development experience using Python and Bourne shellExperienced in Linux administration with a preference for Ubuntu package managementVery experienced in endpoint management on the MacOS platformExperience with virtual machine cluster managementExperience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestrationExperience with network, host and application security practices both on prem and in the CloudExperienced using configuration management tools such as Ansible or PuppetBasic knowledge of monitoring tools like Nagios, Munin, Prometheus, and ZenossBasic knowledge of release engineering tools like Maven, Jenkins, etc.Experience with uptime/availability engineering, performance metrics, and monitoringFamiliarity with network design, operation and troubleshootingSome coding experience with a higher level language such as Go or Rust is a plusExcellent communication, presentation and collaborative problem-solving skillsGreat team player who has a strong desire to change the way people use their data and have a huge impact on a small teamThe Opportunity We OfferAs a DevOps/IT Engineer at Quantifind’s HQ in Palo Alto, California, you will play a critical role in managing the infrastructure for Quantifind’s systems. Our stack includes fleet management in an IT fashion, fleet management in a Datacenter fashion, back-end services and infrastructure, machine learning modules surfaced through REST APIs, and React-based front-end web applications. As a member of our DevOps Team, you will have a big impact on how we build, automate, and scale our technology and processes. You will work closely with DevOps engineers, solving problems, automating deployments, and championing best practices.Our technology includes: Ubuntu, Ganeti, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, git, Hadoop, Nagios, PostgreSQL, Jenkins, and in-house Scala and NodeJS applications. We deploy to our own data centers and to AWS.Quantifind’s development team is centered in Palo Alto, California, and we have technology hubs in Atlanta, Georgia, and in Washington, D.C. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
