Overview Senior Sales Manager | Motto by Hilton Washington DC City Center | Modus by PM Hotel Group Requisition Number: SENIO017097 Location: Motto DC City Center, 627 H St NW, Washington, DC 20001, USA. This is a hybrid position with 3 days on-site and remote work after 90 days. What You Will Be Doing Develop and implement successful group sales solicitation activities to secure new and repeat business from target market segments. Lead by example in exceeding our ambitious client acquisition, revenue, and market share goals. Cultivate and activate the key sales strategies, tactics and action plans required to achieve the hotel/'s financial targets. Prepare tailored proposals and contracts that benefit both the hotel(s) and the client. Collaborate with the Director of Revenue Management and General Managers to create budgets, forecasts, and business plans. Cross-selling requirements will be necessary for Modus DC properties. Support and inform the operations team in the execution of group related events. Clearly communicate the direction and purpose of all initiatives to hotel stakeholders to ensure collaborative execution of goals. Monitor market trends, segment behavior, and other data to make informed decisions and stay ahead of market activity. Engage with local hotel community and tourism industry partners to stay current on market happenings impacting hotel demand. Promote employee engagement and a collaborative, inclusive environment where input is valued. Collaborate with shared services partners to maximize performance and engage with company-wide initiatives. Champion our values, vision, and culture. What We’re Looking For 2-3 years of experience in sales within the hospitality industry, with at least two years in a property-based sales role. Experience with Hilton systems is required, including R&I, PEP, and OnQ. Experience working with independent hotels. Proven track record of production in group sales and achieving superior sales and revenue results. Strong professional selling skills: opening, probing, supporting, closing. Ability to train and monitor the process of referrals, tracing, and account profiling. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong knowledge of the hospitality industry, financial literacy, administrative and management skills, and demonstrated leadership ability. A passion for hospitality and the ability to connect with colleagues and guests. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and entrepreneurial spirit. Ability to use Hospitality CRM (Salesforce), databases, PMS, and industry BI tools (Agency360). Willingness to collaborate with operations and deliver results.
