Major activities include customer facing, solution documentation, solution estimation, solution design, solution configuration, problem solving and solution implementation. This position will be required to work closely with business partners and extended technology team to deliver competitive and quality distribution management solutions.ResponsibilitiesSOLUTIONS DELIVERY Translates business needs and objectives into requirements and project estimates. Enable competitive and quality technology solutions in response to business needs. Solution documentation Mapping documentation Solution configuration Solution modification design, test and delivery Design, develop, test and deploy complex SQL query statements Drive innovation and creative solutions to business challenges Assignments can include customer/enterprise change requests, customer projects, vertical projects, and technology projects Test planning and supportPRODUCT MANAGEMENT Collaborates with business partners, external customers, and other IT functional teams to contribute to the product roadmap. The roadmap is the foundation for prioritization, resource planning, and investment Continue to develop domain expertise through project experience, industry publications/events, and self-learning Detailed knowledge of the Ryder Transportation Management platform and technology offeringsCUSTOMER Represent Ryder technology as the TM product subject matter expert in new/existing customer presentation/events Perform product demonstrations and solution training Customer Facing/Communication on product capability and assigned project statusADMINISTRATIVE Weekly status report on assigned activities Accurate and timely timesheet and project required reportingAdditional ResponsibilitiesContinuous improvement and internal innovationPerforms other duties as assignedSkills and AbilitiesWell rounded knowledge of distribution/3PL industry to facilitate requirements discussion and troubleshooting efforts between business owner, Ryder customer, and IT development teams; including facilitating discussions around supply chain process implementations and/or improvements for integrated solutionsStrong documentation skills as it relates to business requirements, functional design definition, and solution configurationCandidate must possess strong client facing skills and understand the mechanisms for building strong, long-lasting internal and external customer relationships, including the ability to generate results through influenceAbility to conceptualize how systems need to be configured and used to solve daily business problemsProblem solving; ability to solve complex supply chain challenges working in a team environmentAbility to manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions and work assignments (preferred)Ability to work with others to obtain resultsPossesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environmentMaintains a high degree of professionalismLeadership competencies Organizational Agility, Intellectual Horsepower, Dealing with Ambiguity, Integrity and Trust (preferred)SQL ExperienceResults drivenExperience with Microsoft OfficeExperience with Visio: Data Visualization and Building diagrams/flow chartsQualificationsBachelor's degree required in distribution management, supply chain, information systems, information technology, businessFive (5) years or more in distribution / supply chain management experience. Experience in a 3PL/4PL environment preferred requiredFive (5) years or more in information technology and supply chain management systems requiredFive (5) years or more in supply chain technology project. Implementation of supply chain technology solutions requiredFive (5) years or more in use, configuration, or implementation of industry recognized distribution management solutions requiredFive (5) years or more in designing/coding custom user/system interfaces via C++., Java, Android, and PowerShell programming languages requiredDOT Regulated: NoJob Category: Application Development, Delivery & SupportCompensation Information :The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
