OverviewA global, industry leading industrial manufacturing/processing organization seeks to hire a Site Director / General Manager to oversee full operations and P&L of its flagship production site North of Boston, MA. Reporting to the Vice President of North American Operations, this position carries complete responsibility for safety, quality, on-time delivery, and financial performance while driving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity.Primary ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic and tactical leadership across all plant functions to achieve or exceed goals for safety, quality, service, cost, and sales growth.Direct daily operations with full accountability for profit and loss (P&L), capital planning, and operational excellence.Cultivate a strong culture of customer service, developing long-term agreements and expanding opportunities within the existing customer base.Recruit, retain, and develop plant leadership talent, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and a high-performance culture.Lead systemic improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance safety, quality, capacity, and technical capabilities.Collaborate closely with quality, engineering, technical support, finance, and other functions to meet plant objectives.Oversee equipment planning, plant layouts, and control of overhead expenses while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in business, technology, or related field is required; master’s degree preferred.Minimum of 12 years of industrial or operations leadership, including eight years within heavy industrial environments.At least 10 years of demonstrated success with Lean and Six Sigma project implementation and proactive labor performance management.Strong project management, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to make sound decisions and motivate teams.US Citizenship required.Our client offers a comprehensive portfolio of insurance and retirement benefits along with a lucrative bonus program, long-term advancement opportunities and other attractive perks.
