OverviewPurpose of the Position: Contribute to SCMP’s North America coverage by ensuring accuracy and improvement of copy through editing, rewriting and fact this role, you will:Ensure all copy is produced to exacting standards, conforming to SCMP style as well as fact checked and edited for clarity and concisionWork across the newsroom, collaborating with reporters and editors to generate analytical content that will resonate with our readersPitch and implement ideas that result in thought-provoking graphics and infographics that reframe concepts in an easy-to-digest and compelling mannerHelp organize information and build information-collection tools that will increase the team’s productivityIn some cases, interview experts, analysts, leaders and other people with opinions that matter to our subscribersSkills and Experience that will lead to success:At least eight years of copy editing experience for a national- or international-level news publication.
