Join our team and discover why we are a top veteran employer (and Certified Great Place to Work (Federal is looking for a cleared Sr. Financial Analyst for their Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) Financial Management Support Services contract. The Sr. Financial Analyst will provide financial improvement and audit support to assist Department of Navy (DoN) clients with achieving and sustaining audit readiness. The Sr. Financial Analyst will be working collaboratively with government and contractor personnel, participating in meetings, working groups, and more.Responsibilities will include:Supporting reconciliation of unmatched disbursements, journal voucher testing, obligation validation/delinquency management, trend/variance analysis, and reporting findings/recommendations.Enhancing efforts to strengthen internal controls and improve the timeliness and accuracy of financial information. This may include assisting with external audit requests and taskers.Developing and implementing corrective action plans.May lead and direct a team for specific projects.Requirements:Department of Navy financial management and systems experience (i.e. Navy ERP, Advana, etc.) mandatory.Analyze and interpret financial data to detect trends/anomalies in accounting system transactions to determine effect on the General Ledger (GL) accounts.Analyze and assess current and historical financial data for the purpose of developing special reports for use in improving the efficiency, accuracy, and usefulness of financial reporting.Perform analytical procedures to identify fluctuations and provide recommendations to mitigate.Strong analytical skills with the ability to seek underlying assumptions through probing, questioning, and listening.Ability to handle details, multi-task, and prioritize changing objectives in a fast-paced environment.Strong general accounting skills and through knowledge of US GAAP.Self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills, including communicating with all levels of staff.Strong technical skills/proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power-Point, Outlook, Teams).Intermediate to expert level Microsoft Office proficiency with specific focus on Excel and PowerPoint.Federal Financial Reporting.General Ledger Analysis.Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree in a related area required.Department of Navy financial management and systems experience (i.e. Navy ERP, Advana, etc.) required.Minimum 3 years of federal financial management experience in roles such as accountant, financial auditor, financial analyst, or financial system analyst required.Minimum 6+ years of experience in general financial analysis, accounting, or auditing required.Preferred Certifications:Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) or Certified Government financial Manager (CGFM) certification is preferredCertified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification is preferredClearance Requirements:Active DoD SECRET (S) clearance or higher required.
