Join EY and help to build a better working world.Seasonal Tax Manager – Private Client Services - RemotePrivate Client Services (PCS) is a growing practice within EY, and you’ll see that growth reflected in our career opportunities. The team focuses on serving privately held companies and their owners and families, spanning from family-owned businesses to private equity owned companies. These clients are typically high-growth private companies, ranging from start-ups to multibillion-dollar global enterprises. You’ll work on technically demanding tax planning and compliance projects and be part of a growing global team, acting as a key point of contact for clients and colleagues. EY supports your development, including technical tax knowledge, leadership, and business acumen.The opportunityYou’ll join the team at a critical time, leveraging your expertise to support our clients. You can expect the support of engaging colleagues and will receive hourly, overtime-eligible pay. This role provides a unique opportunity to enhance or refine your skills within one of our high-performing tax teams.Your key responsibilitiesAs a seasonal tax manager, your main responsibilities may include:Reviewing complex individual tax returnsIncome tax planning for high-net-worth individuals and familiesPartnership tax complianceS Corp tax compliance for Private Tax clientsHours expectations are discussed during the interview process. This role allows remote work within the United States with no travel required.Skills and attributes for successA strategic eye toward prioritizing when managing multiple complex projectsInfluencing skills, with confidence and curiosity to question existing processesAbility to produce technical writing and research in a tax contextExperience performing high-quality reviews of complex tax returnsKnowledge/experience in handling High Net Worth and Individual Tax Returns, or complex partnership complianceExperience with federal and state personal and trust income taxUnderstanding of estate and wealth planningExperience researching tax issues to develop effective tax planning strategies and translate complex data into client-ready insightsComfort with working remotely in a virtual team environmentTo qualify for the role you must haveValid US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or active state bar membershipA bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related disciplineA minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in tax compliance for private client individuals, partnerships, and/or S corpsStrong analytical, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and attention to detailIdeally, you/'ll also haveA proven record of excellence in tax accounting for financial statements with a top or mid-tier firmWhat we look forWe’re looking for strong team players who support colleagues in achieving goals while managing their own workload and deliverables. The salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $90/hr to $120/hr.
